From L.A. to L.V. this place knows how to get down and dirty with their twist on Hot Dogs.

When we first were given the recommendation to try Dirt Dog we were intrigued by some of the flavor profiles described to us by an aquaintance here in Las Vegas. He said it would be a bit of a drive but worth it. Then again a drive to most Vegas locals is 15 -25 mins but when you're from the YAY AREA of California.. that's nothing. So we took the trip and we are not ashamed to admit we got down and dirty with what they had to offer. So much so that it was a must-do when Mike's son and his lady were here for.a visit. They agreed they enjoyed it very much and since Mike's son J.J. now lives with us here in Vegas.. we may have been back again. No shame here - we got down and dirty once again and my choice for the cover photo of this blog is what we ate during that visit. From a Dirty Chili Dog to a Pastrami Dog and J.J's choice of a Flaming dog accompanied by a side of DUI fries... we left satisfied with the abundance of flavors, our souls filled with amazing wall art of musical icons of the last few decades within the Rap/Hip Hop genres and our hearts filled with music of the same genres but what always gets me besides the tasty horchata is THE SERVICE. Efficient, clean and friendly... most of all.. CONSISTENT. We have been to this location on 3 different occasions and the staff stays knowledgeable, friendly and makes us feel welcome every time visit. It only makes us more excited to experience the other L.V. location - The Bazaar Shops at Bally's (strip level.. can't miss it outside the entrance to the hotel) and when we can make it over to Southern California we look to enjoy a visit at the founding location. If you want something classic with a crazy good twist you have to get to a Dirt Dog location asap. Be ready to get a little 2-step on while waiting in line or bob your head to the beat that plays in the dining area because the music is always good and the food is great. We recommend Dirt Dog as "must try at least once" type of place. We ... will... be... back. THANK YOU DIRT DOG!!
